This lesson, which deals with the bad side, shows how King Saul missed it in First Samuel, chapters nine through fifteen. Saul had a good beginning in many ways, but he missed God in the end of his life because he refused to allow God’s Impressions to solidify in his khawzak will. He intruded into the Priests’ office, and in First Samuel 14:27, he “laid hold” (khawzak) of the skirt of Samuel’s mantle.

The Hebrew word for honour is kawbade, which is the lowest level of our will. No matter what kind of parents we have, we need to respect them because they gave us life. Disrespect for one’s parents produces despair.
