  1. The Water And Fire Of The LORD's Name

The Water And Fire Of The LORD's Name

The LORD God always uses the names of many things in order to make His Holy Name known. For example, the LORD made His foursquare Holy Name, His Tetragrammaton, known through the River that the LORD God fastened in the Garden of Eden; then, He separated this River into four heads outside the Garden. These Rivers were the Pison, the Gihon, the Hiddekel, and the Euphrates Rivers. These four Rivers picture the LORD God’s Headship and Authority that governed, guarded, and kept Adam-male and Adam-female within His confines of the Garden. Later, after they had disobeyed the LORD’s command and had sinned by eating from the Tree of Knowledge, God’s Headship cast them out of the Garden and kept them without or outside the Garden. They could not reenter the Garden once they had sinned and been cast out. The Unbegotten LORD’s Infinite, Divine Nature not only consists of Water but also of Fire. The Hebrew word for fire is aysh, which means burning, fiery, fire, flaming, hot, heat, brilliance; the active principle of burning, which is characterized by the heat and light of combustion that makes a brilliant display. God revealed His Fire from Heaven when He sent it down on Abel’s acceptable sacrifice. Learn More

  10. Little David, God's Choice Of King For Israel

Little David, God's Choice Of King For Israel

God showed the Prophet Samuel that he had chosen little David to be the king over Israel, although David was the youngest of Jesse’s eight sons; also, David was a lowly shepherd, tending his father’s sheep. David’s good looks were very noteworthy. His musical talent, combined with his experience as a warrior and a fighter, constrained King Saul’s servant to recommend David as the person who could play his harp for King Saul and thus drive away the evil spirit from God that troubled Saul because of his disobedience. As a youth, David had already acquired a glowing testimony of victory over his enemies, despite his young age. Although young and small of stature, David was highly exalted when the LORD commanded him to fight against Goliath and the defiant words from his mouth. The giant, Goliath, was about nine feet and six inches tall. Except for Goliath’s javelin, his defensive weapons were of bronze, while his attacking weapons were of iron. But David carried the LORD’s Seal of Mercy and Grace, both within his lover heart and without his body, which made him invincible in the face of Israel’s enemies, including the formidable giant Goliath! One of Christ’s greatest Parables was the “Parable of the Talents.” In this Parable, Jesus compared the Kingdom of Heaven to a man traveling into a far country who, when he was ready to leave the country, delivered his talents to three different servants. The first servant received five talents, the second servant received two talents, and the third servant received one talent. The number of talents that each of the three servants received was based upon their respective abilities to double them.

Isaiah's Prophecy Concerning The Suffering Of Jesus Christ In Chapter 53

The name Isaiah means Jehovah’s Salvation. Isaiah was the Prophetic Evangelist among the Old Testament Prophets who revealed the highest perfection of the Messianic Prophecies. He unveiled both the Suffering and the Triumphing of the LORD Jesus Christ, the Saviour of Israel and the whole world. No other prophetic writer, either before him or after him, surpassed what Isaiah revealed about our Saviour. With clear, divine distinctness, Isaiah’s Prophecies about the Messiah, Jesus Christ, are revealed in chapter 53 of the Book of Isaiah. He revealed Jesus Christ as the “Man of Sorrows,” who suffered in the place of sinful mankind, and he revealed the importance of Jesus Christ’s Divine Mission on Earth. In chapter 53, the description Isaiah gave of God’s Servant, Who suffered and died for the sins of all people, applies to no other person than Jesus Christ. Learn More
