(Easter Sunday) Matthew, chapters 27 and 28, show two major earthquakes. One earthquake occurred when the Crucified Christ died, and the earth quaked again when the Resurrected Christ arose from the tomb. Jesus Christ is the Tree of Life. The Roots of His Tree relate to the Crucified Christ or Death, and the Branches and Fruit of His Tree pertain to the Resurrected Christ or Life. Learn More

This is a continuation of the lesson about the bawrak blessing the people gave at Jesus’ Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem. After visiting the Temple and seeing His people, Israel, His Spiritual Fig Tree, and their unfruitfulness, He went to Bethany for the night. The next day Jesus saw the unfruitful, natural fig tree and cursed it because it had not the fruit to satisfy His hunger.

Mark 11:20,21: This message continues the lesson on the blesseds and deals with roots. The fig tree that Jesus cursed dried up by the roots. The meaning of roots is given in this sermon. One meaning is bottom of the sea. Job 36:27-30 shows how the storm clouds draw “root water” from the bottom of the sea, which becomes rain. Learn More

(Palm Sunday) The Gospels of Luke, Matthew, and Mark show a progression of events, beginning with a bawrak blessing which the people gave when they blessed the Name of the Lord at the time of Jesus’ triumphant entry. He wept over Jerusalem; then He went into the Temple and cleansed it by casting out the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.

Jesus directed His Disciples to go into a desert place because He wanted them to learn how to rest, inside, while they worked and served Blessed Bread to a multitude. We are tired so much of the time because we are not resting, inside, in the LORD’s Headship.
