(Youth Convention)  The malefactors who hung on the east and west sides of Jesus Christ’s Cross represent the thing in us that breaks the Headship of the LORD. The thieves, who hung on the south and north sides, represent the thing in us that steals the Light and the Strength of the Word. They all died on their crosses. Only the malefactor on the east side embraced his cross and repented and got it changed to a blue cross that represents the revealed Word of God. And only he came up with new Resurrection Life.

(Youth Convention)  This message explains about the changing fool and the changeless fool. When the LORD takes the changing fool where He wants him to go, the changing fool is happy because he is fellowshipping the LORD. As long as this is a pleasant place, a pleasant situation, the changing fool can shout over the LORD’s Headship. But when the LORD leads him to some ugly-looking thing, then the changing fool cries because this situation is not a pleasant one. So the changing fool says, “I do not want that. LORD, let us—You and me—work together. You follow me. You support my plans and purposes, and I will serve You.”

(Youth Convention) God’s Word tells us to crucify our flesh and to mortify our flesh. Therefore, it is important for us to understand that crucifixion of the flesh is what happens while one is living, whereas the mortification of the flesh is something that happens after death occurs.

In the beginning of our spiritual journey, we were saved from the Effect of sin by a Gift of Blood, Fire, and Water, which were received by faith when we called on the Name of Jesus. Then, we worked in the Holy Place of Jesus Christ’s Spiritual Stature to possess greater portions of our old heart. Now, in the end of our journey, we are being saved, again, by Gift, but this time we are being saved from the Cause of sin, which is our Midnight Will. Learn More

Our theme verse for 1998 is Matthew 1:21: “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” In the beginning of our spiritual journey, after we had repented, Jesus saved us from the Effect of Sin, which is Hell and Death. After we were saved, we worked in prayer and in the study of God’s Word, and we used the Blood, Fire, and Water that Jesus had given us to crucify and mortify our flesh. Learn More

The fight from the beginning always has been over the LORD’s Name. Since the beginning and the end are the same, this is the fight today, also. To find out Who the Son is, we must have the Father reveal Him. Then, the Son reveals the Father. We overcome through dependence upon the LORD’s Name. When we got saved, we were in darkness. In comparison to the Stature of Light in our New Heart, we had a big stature of darkness. But, Jesus came to make up the difference between our small Light and the great darkness we fight. The beginning of this message mentions the twenty-cubit wide Gate in the Mosaic Tabernacle and gives a review of the four colours in the hangings of this Gate and how they relate to the four letters of the LORD’s Name that represent the LORD’s Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, and Prudence of Choice. The colours in the Gate — blue, purple, scarlet, and white — also represent the four classes of reverential fear we are to have for the Father’s Name, Nature, Power, and Prudence. The Father is the One Who leads us to His Son, Jesus Christ, Whose mature Spiritual Stature is pictured by the seven pieces of furniture in the Mosaic Tabernacle. There is a difference between crucifixion and mortification. But if we do not understand the difference, then we cannot obey God’s Word that tells us that our old man is to be crucified (Romans 6:6) and that we are to mortify the deeds of the body (Romans 8:13). The Cross represents crucifixion. And when Jesus Christ died on Calvary’s Cross, two thieves and two malefactors were being crucified on four crosses surrounding His Cross. So there is one kind of crucifixion for the LORD, and there is another kind for us.
