Quick Overview

This Christmas message is about the Christ Child in a manger. Here was God’s little Lamb, called Christ in a manger, and that Lamb was full of Humility. He was not called Jesus in the manger. He was called Christ in the manger. He was called Jesus eight days later, when they took Him to the Temple to be circumcised. That was the Jewish Law; when little boy babies were circumcised, they got a new name. Every time we get our heart circumcised, we get a new layer of the Name of Jesus.

WHY CHRIST CAME TO BETHLEHEM TO A MANGER — 3RD MESSAGE.....(FRI PM 12/18/2009)

Look at Christ’s Humility in the manger. Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God. James 1:17 says: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” The Hebrew word for lights, in this verse, is a feminine plural word. The Son was conceived and begotten by the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Light. So this Son of Light came down from on High, from the Father of Lights. When the Father turns, He does not create shadows because He is omnipresent. When God made a Creation, He put Darkness around the Creation to protect it from His ore Light. God put swaddling bands around Christ, the ore Light, in the manger. The swaddling bands, which Mary had made, belonged to Creation.
