Quick Overview

Luke 3:3-5 and Isaiah 40:3,4 both speak of preparing the Way for the LORD. John the Baptist had a privilege that no other person ever had or ever shall have. He had the privilege to introduce the Humanity of the Son of God. He had the opportunity to introduce the Name of Jesus (yeh-ho-shoo-ah) to the world. John’s purpose was just to introduce the Lamb of God, to make a Way for Him, and to get people prepared for His Coming and to baptize unto righteousness, or unto the Righteous One. He was to introduce Jesus, yeh-ho-shoo-ah maw-shee-akh Yehovah, and once he had done that, John’s ministry was supposed to be over. But he was so in love with the ministry that he did not have the love for the One he was introducing.

WHY CHRIST CAME TO BETHLEHEM TO A MANGER — 1ST MESSAGE.....(SUN AM 12/6/2009)

Luke 2:4-7 says that Joseph, who was of the lineage of David, went to Bethlehem with Mary, his espoused wife, to be taxed. While they were there, Mary gave birth to her firstborn Son. This was Christ, the Divine Son of God, for Christ did not receive the Name Jesus until He was circumcised on the eighth day. When we  have grown up in the Spiritual Stature of the Son of God, we are taken to the Prudence Corner to begin our journey into the Father’s realm as a little lamb. Noone but a small lamb will be in the 144,000, who follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth.

Christ, the Divine Son of God, was laid in a Manger and wrapped in swaddling clothes. The swaddling bands signify restraint. In the Manger is where we find the Lamb’s Blood of which we must partake. The Hebrew word for manger means a crib, a stall, a place for food. God put in His Son the Blood of His Purposive Will, and His Flesh was His Bread. So God chose Bethlehem, the place of Bread, as the place for His Son to be born.  So here was Christ, in the Manger, the place of Food or the Bread. The little place, called a navel, is a Blood Witness that Christ had a Birth into Humanity. This is the place where Christ began the New Covenant with His Blood for mankind.

The Song of Solomon is laid out in the form of a cross. The espoused Bride knewJesus Christ first, as the King of Humility; then, she knew Him as the Shepherd;then, she knew Him as the Roe; then, she knew Him as the Husbandman orBridegroom. In chapter five, after she had been married to Him, the Bridegroomasked her to serve the Bread and Blood of His Stature, for the only way shecould continue to grow was by sharing. When she realized that the Bridegroomhad left, she went looking for Him and was beaten up.
