Quick Overview

(Training Convention) The Pharaoh in our midnight will says, “I must possess.” We join the things of God to our midnight will, trying to possess what is beautiful from God so that we will be exalted in others’ eyes. We overcome by laying the axe to the root (our idolatry) in our Pride of Revelation.

PHARAOH IN OUR MIDNIGHT WILL — 1ST MESSAGE …..(TUE PM 10/10/95)

(Training Convention) The Pharaoh in our midnight will says, “I must possess.” We join the things of God to our midnight will, trying to possess what is beautiful from God so that we will be exalted in others’ eyes. We overcome by laying the axe to the root (our idolatry) in our Pride of Revelation. Genesis 12:10-20 tells of Abram’s and Sarai’s experience with Pharaoh and his midnight will when, in their midnight wills, they chose to leave Canaan’s Land and go down into Egypt. Fearful for his own life, Abram persuaded Sarai to tell a half- truth — that she was his sister. When Pharaoh took Sarai into his court to be his wife, the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his whole house. God — not Abram —was the one Who redeemed the situation that Abram’s midnight will had created.
