Quick Overview

This message explains why the rich man missed the Prize, Mount Zion. Those who go to Mount Zion must be in love with just the Name — LORD Jesus Christ. Instead of being in love with the Name, the rich man was in love with the gifts that come with the Name. He had a title. He was clothed in purple and fine Linen, and he fared sumptuously every day. He was in love with the gifts, but the gifts could not save him.

FOUR WAYS THE LORD DELIVERS - 1ST MESSAGE.....(FRI PM 6/12/98)

This message gives an overview of the four ways the LORD delivers us. First, the LORD delivers from outward enemies by fencing us in with His Unbegotten Name so that danger from the outside cannot get in. Job is an example of one who was fenced in by the LORD’s Name. He was perfect as far as he had grown spiritually, but he did not see his spiritual pride until the LORD removed the fence and allowed Satan to come against him. The Yod of the LORD’s Name is what gives us wisdom to know that the power is in the fence, not in us.

The second way the LORD delivers us is by snatching us out of Lucifer’s hand. Job, again, is an example of one who had been turned loose into Lucifer’s hand. When Job finally saw his pride and repented, the LORD snatched him out of Lucifer’s hand, restored his health, and gave him a double portion of what he had lost. The first Hay of the LORD’s Name causes us to know that His Nature is too Good and too Merciful to allow us to suffer anything that is not for our eternal good and His Eternal Glory.
