Quick Overview

Luke 3:3-5 and Isaiah 40:3,4 both speak of preparing the Way for the LORD. John the Baptist had a privilege that no other person ever had or ever shall have. He had the privilege to introduce the Humanity of the Son of God. He had the opportunity to introduce the Name of Jesus (yeh-ho-shoo-ah) to the world. John’s purpose was just to introduce the Lamb of God, to make a Way for Him, and to get people prepared for His Coming and to baptize unto righteousness, or unto the Righteous One. He was to introduce Jesus, yeh-ho-shoo-ah maw-shee-akh Yehovah, and once he had done that, John’s ministry was supposed to be over. But he was so in love with the ministry that he did not have the love for the One he was introducing.

QUESTION IN FIRST JOHN 1:7-10.....(SUN PM 12/6/2009)

Under his own headship, John continued on with his ministry of baptizing in competition with the Name of yeh-ho-shoo-ah. We are to bring all matter to the Feet of Jesus. Our thinking is matter. Our feelings are matter. Our words are matter. Our deeds are matter. The Book of Hebrews says: “Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him” (Hebrews 2:8).  Theoretically, everything is under the Son’s Feet. But we have not yet seen it in our own life.
