SIXTEEN DESIRES - 9TH MESSAGE......(THU PM 4/16/98)

(Tampico, Mexico Convention) This lesson deals with what God has to do to our desire to get it turned around into its original position. The Law written in Stone could not enter man’s heart to change it, so Jesus Christ had to come in flesh and die so that, through His Omnipresence, He could enter our hearts and change them (Romans 8:1-4).

Instead of asking God to give us a desire for Him, since He already has given us a desire, we need to ask Him to turn our desire around by regenerating, converting, conforming, and transforming us back into His Image.

God changes our desires in four ways: regenerating, converting, conforming, and transforming. Peter is our example of how we need our desires regenerated (Matthew 19:27-30). He asked the LORD what his reward would be, which proved his desire was wrong. The LORD answered Peter by telling him to follow Him if he wanted rewards. We have to follow the LORD in a continual walk with Him, and let Him regenerate our desire; then, He will reward us spiritually.
