Quick Overview

(Ministerial Convention) God intended that Israel, as His Bride, with Solomon as King, should be the hub of the nations, but Solomon, as an example of one who exerted his own desires, failed to reach the place God had purposed for him. Therefore, the Nation of Israel did not become the hub of all the nations of the world. In his lifetime, Solomon tried everything under the sun. When he was old, his heart was turned to worship the idols of his heathen wives, so he missed the best God had for him.

SIXTEEN DESIRES - 4TH MESSAGE......(THU DAY 3/12/98)

(Ministerial Convention) God intended that Israel, as His Bride, with Solomon as King, should be the hub of the nations, but Solomon, as an example of one who exerted his own desires, failed to reach the place God had purposed for him. Therefore, the Nation of Israel did not become the hub of all the nations of the world. In his lifetime, Solomon tried everything under the sun. When he was old, his heart was turned to worship the idols of his heathen wives, so he missed the best God had for him.

We become like what we look upon. Solomon looked upon the heathen wives and lost out with God in his old age.

First Samuel 2:12-19 contrasts Eli’s wicked sons, who indulged their fleshly desires, with the child Samuel, to whom God could speak, although he was only five years old.
