Quick Overview

Our theme verse for 1998 is Matthew 1:21: “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” In the beginning of our spiritual journey, after we had repented, Jesus saved us from the Effect of Sin, which is Hell and Death. After we were saved, we worked in prayer and in the study of God’s Word, and we used the Blood, Fire, and Water that Jesus had given us to crucify and mortify our flesh.

FOUR SPECIAL PLACES WHERE WE HAVE A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN US AND THE LORD’S NAME - 3RD MESSAGE......(SUN AM 1/25/98)

Then, in the end of our spiritual journey, we have to deal with the Cause of Sin, which is the Deceit, Darkness, and Death in our Midnight Will. Just as we had to depend totally upon Jesus to save us from the Effect of Sin, so must we depend, totally and completely, upon the Name of Jesus to save us from our Midnight Will.

Psalm Eighteen reveals a Stature of Truth of Jesus’ experience of being saved from Hell and Death. Jesus never had sinned, but He took our place. He took our punishment. And, by knowing the punishment, He could know the sin, theoretically. When Jesus, the Son, was down in Hell and Death, in our place, He learned how to be a Saviour by observing how His Heavenly Father saved Him. (I) The LORD is a Horn of Salvation. And, a Horn is used for aggressive warfare. (II) The LORD saved Him from His enemies. (III) The LORD is a Shield of Salvation. A Shield is used for defensive warfare. (IV) And, the LORD is the Immovable Rock of Salvation.
