JACOB'S LADDER - 5TH MESSAGE......(SUN AM 1/4/98)

The seven rungs on Jacob’s Ladder are represented by the seven pieces of furniture in the Mosaic Tabernacle. Therefore, the fourth rung is pictured by the Golden Candlestick. Before a single Book of the Bible was written, God told Moses to make a Candlestick with sixty-six bowls, knops, and flowers on it. These sixty-six bowls, knops, and flowers portray the sixty-six Books of God’s Written Word. The seven Lights of the Candlestick represent the Light of Wisdom, Understanding, and Knowledge in the Living Word, Jesus Christ. In Proverbs 4:7-9, we are commanded to exalt and embrace Wisdom, which is the feminine side of the Torah-Truth. If we exalt Wisdom by praising her and lifting up the LORD’s Name, Wisdom will promote us to the place of honour.
