FOUR CLASSES OF FEAR

This message emphasizes the Blue Fear that causes one to stand in the Gate and reverence the Wisdom of the LORD’s Headship and Master Plan. Chapters twelve through twenty-two of the Book of Genesis show the progressive growth of this Blue Fear in the life of Abram and, later, in the life of Abraham. The LORD God gave the Seed of Promise to Abram when he had only one wife, Sarai. So, the Promise to given to Sarai as well as to Abram. When time passed and Sarai remained barren, she suggested that Abram take her Egyptian handmaid, Hagar, and raise up a son. Her suggestion and Abram’s agreement to it showed their distrust of God’s Headship and Master Plan concerning the Promised Seed. Abram’s union with Hagar produced Ishmael, who was only half Israelite. On two occasions, once as Abram and once as Abraham, Abraham failed to acknowledge his marriage relationship with his wife. After Abram’s name was changed to Abraham, and after Sarai’s name was changed to Sarah, they had the son that God had promised.They had Isaac, whose name means joy and laughter. In Genesis, chapter twenty-two, when Abraham offered up Isaac on the Altar, he proved that he was spiritually mature and that he had the Blue Fear woven into his nature.
