THE NAME OF JESUS AT THE GOLDEN ALTAR......(WED AM 9/14/66)

The five ingredients of the Incense offered on the Golden Altar are a picture of the Name of Jesus that we take on in the Holy Place. Stacte was the part of the myrrh that dropped out voluntarily, as tears, when an incision was made in the tree. It is a picture of the broken side of the Humility of Jesus. The onycha, which fed upon the spikenard, represents the peace that is found in the Name of Jesus. Galbanum was used as a medicine to relieve and to prevent spasms, and it supported the Fragrance of the Incense. Galbanum is the part of Jesus’ Name that relieves us when we are in spasms of pride, unforgiveness, bitterness, and rebellion. Frankincense is a picture of the Faith of Jesus. Salt, the fifth ingredient in the Incense, is a picture of the Loyalty of Jesus. Taking on the Name of Jesus prepares us to go to the Candlestick and to the Table of Shewbread in the Holy Place where we find the Understanding and the Strength of the Word.
