III. THE EDIFYING OF THE BODY OF CHRIST

(Training Convention) This lesson continues with the Scriptures in Ephesians, chapter four. This is the third point: the Edifying of the Body of Christ. The Hebrew word for edify comes from the root word baw-naw, which means a builder. To edify means to obtain children; to build the Family Name.

This lesson also explains how to build (Ephesians 2:19-21). First, we are fellow citizens, and, as citizens we can vote — but only for the LORD Jesus Christ. We have a foundation by gift; then, we build on it. Ephesians 2:21 and 22 mention two buildings — a Temple and an Habitation. The Temple speaks about growing collectively to make one great Universal Temple, but, individually, we are being built an Habitation or a Tabernacle — the Stature of Christ in the Old Testament Tabernacle
