PHILIPPIANS 2:5: LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU — 1ST MESSAGE......(FRI PM 9/5/97)

Philippians 2:5-8 reveals the Seven Steps of Humility that Jesus descended in order to overcome the seven basic fears of man. As God’s only Begotten Son, He was well known and worshipped in Heaven, but He did not cling to the place of exaltation. Willingly, He laid aside His Garments of Glory and Power and descended in Humility all the way down to the womb of the Virgin Mary; then, He went all the way to Calvary to die on the Cross.

Philippians 2:5 says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” The Hebrew word for mind in this verse is the Khaw-shab or our Weaver Mind of the Spirit. Our life’s experiences are like weaving a tapestry, and there are two types of pictures that we can weave into our tapestry. We can weave a fleshly tapestry that is covered with dark, grotesque images of falsehood, or we can weave a tapestry of overcoming victories that is covered with Crosses of Truth and Light
