PERFECTION IS BEING AT PEACE.....(SUN AM 8/10/97)

(California Convention) Ephesians 4:11-15 is the text of this message. God gave Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers for the perfecting of the saints. The Hebrew word for perfecting comes from the same root word as peace or shaw-lome. Peace is a powerful word, and it begins within. Shaw-lome means entire. And, entire means whole, complete, finished, not necessarily with everything about the LORD, but finished in the sense of being contented. We had peace when we got saved, but we did not have all peace.

This second realm of peace prevents us from injuring the LORD, from injuring the Spirit of God, and from injuring each other by causing harm and grief. Examples are given to show how we act when we are not at peace with one another and what to do to restore the peace between us and God and between us and our brother.
