THE FOUR POSITIONS IN WHICH ISRAEL STOOD WHEN RECEIVING THE TORAH AT MOUNT SINAI — 5TH MESSAGE.....(THU PM 4/3/97)

(Tampico, Mexico Convention) This lesson continues to deal with the nether position, which was the first position in which Israel stood when God gave the Torah at Mount Sinai. The Hebrew word for nether (takh-tee) means the lowest place or position. It also means a womb for Seed, for life.

The text for this lesson is First Peter, 5:5,6, which tells believers first to submit themselves unto the Elders and, then, to be subject one to another, being clothed with humility. In both cases, this is dealing with humbling oneself to a creature. Then, the Apostle Peter said for believers to humble themselves under the mighty Hand of God so that He may exalt them in due season. The Hebrew word for under is the same as the word for nether. This lesson shows which of man’s sixteen minds must humble and come under the LORD’s Hand.
