Sermon 1527 - 36 Degrees of Sharing - 14th Message…..(Tue pm 2/1/94)

(Royal Regiments Teaching: Degrees 25-27)

The 25th Degree of Sharing is called Sharing Christ’s Burning, Shining Influence, Inwardly. The text is found in Matthew 5:16,17. The Hebrew word for candle is neer, meaning a lamp. It is the same word that is used for the lamps on the Candlestick in the Holy Place of the Old Testament Tabernacle. We have to have the Light of Truth burning and shining within our own heart, illuminating us and showing us the darkness of our own temple, before we can share the burning and shining Light with others.

The 26th Degree of Sharing is called Sharing Christ’s Burning, Shining Influence, Outwardly. The text is found in Matthew 5:14. Jesus Christ is the Light of the world. And, when we have His Living Light in our heart, we also are called the Light of the world. The Hebrew word for world is o-lawm, which is the same word for Eternity-Past. In Eternity-Past, God pinched off, as it were, a piece of Eternity and brought it down into Time and called it a “world.” Thus, the Scripture says, “Ye are the Light of Eternity.” If we stayed true and faithful to God when we were in the Loins of God, before we came down into Time, we were the Light in Eternity-Past. Now, in Time, we are the Light of the world, and we are are to be like a city set on a hill; our Light is to shine forth so that others can see Jesus Christ through our deeds of Righteousness.

The 27th Degree of Sharing is called Sharing Christ’s Salt of Loyalty of the Truth. The text is found in Matthew 5:13. Christ’s spiritual Salt of Loyalty to the Truth preserves the good and eats away the evil. If we have the salt of loyalty, we can praise the LORD for His Headship, even in the most painful circumstances and situations. And, we can praise Him for the privilege of ministering to others, according to His Master Plan and Purposive Will.
