Quick Overview

The 23rd Degree of Sharing is called Sharing Christ’s Commandment of Righteousness. The text is found in Matthew 5:20. Jesus Christ acknowledged that the scribes and Pharisees had outward righteousness. But, Jesus told His Disciples that their righteousness had to exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees if they wanted to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus commands His servants to have inward righteousness. He wants them to give their hearts to Him, first, before they obey His Command to give tithes of their natural substance.

36 DEGREES OF SHARING - 13TH MESSAGE.....(TUE PM 12/14/93)

(Royal Regiments Teaching: Degrees 23 & 24)

The 23rd Degree of Sharing is called Sharing Christ’s Commandment of Righteousness. The text is found in Matthew 5:20. Jesus Christ acknowledged that the scribes and Pharisees had outward righteousness. But, Jesus told His Disciples that their righteousness had to exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees if they wanted to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus commands His servants to have inward righteousness. He wants them to give their hearts to Him, first, before they obey His Command to give tithes of their natural substance. He wants their Godliness to begin in their conscience so that they will feel pricked by the slightest breath of anything that mars and sullies the Breath of God. Instead of seeking to be praised of men, Jesus’ Disciples seek the praise of the LORD. Instead of seeking to receive for self, they deny self. And, after they have done their best, they still feel that they are humble, unprofitable servants.
