FRONT AND BACK PRINCIPLE - 8TH MESSAGE.....(SUN PM 3/23/97)

(Palm Sunday) This lesson begins with a brief review of the Principle of the LORD’s Name being lifted in front of Israel and in back of Israel at the Red Sea.

In Isaiah, chapter nine, Israel, again, was surrounded by enemies. The Syrians, who represent the high-minded thoughts of the flesh, were in front. The Philistines, who represent the low, depressed feelings of the flesh, were in back. In order to overcome the high-minded thoughts of the flesh and the low, depressed feelings of self-pity, we must lift up the LORD’s Name in front and in back, just as the Name was lifted up in front of Jesus and in back of Him when He made His triumphant entry into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:11-15).
