THE STATURE OF DANCES - 5TH MESSAGE.....(SUN AM 3/2/97)

This lesson continues to deal with the first class of dance, the Birth Dance, which is identified by the Hebrew word khool. The Victory Dance, which is the fifth point under the Birth Dance, is recorded in the Book of First Samuel. In chapters seventeen and eighteen, one can see that the Principle of Truth and Opposition was balanced in David’s life.

In chapter seventeen, the Truth was that David went down to the battle in obedience to his father’s command. But, when he entered the camp, he faced opposition from his own brothers who accused him of coming to spy on them. Then, after he had proven that he was a great warrior, when he had fought and killed Goliath, he enjoyed a time of exaltation.

The Truth was that Saul brought him into the Court and gave him a high position. But, David faced opposition from Saul when he heard the women dancing and singing, “Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.” David proved that he had the inner dance of victory over his own spirit because he did not fight against Saul.
