FIRSTBORN - 5TH MESSAGE.....(SUN AM 12/29/96)

This lesson gives a brief review of the first three steps of the Stairway of Justification: (1) Justification by Blood; (2) Justification by Grace; (3) and Justification by Light.

The fourth step, which is the focus of this lesson, deals with Justification by Believing. The roots of the Tree of Confidence are formed by believing in God’s Nature. The trunk and branches of Confidence are formed by trusting in God’s Nature. And, it is the branches of Trust that bear the Fruit of Faith in God’s Nature.

Before we can ascend higher on the Stairway of Justification and higher in the Tree of Confidence, we must go back to the roots of Believing in God’s Nature to justify us. We know when we have believed and when we have been justified because we have a new relationship with Jesus Christ, and there is a change in our life. He tells us what we are doing that causes us to feel guilty, and when we stop doing what grieves the LORD, we stop feeling guilty.
