THE STRANGER PRINCIPLE - 2ND MESSAGE.....(SUN AM 11/24/96)

The Hebrew word for stranger is gare, meaning to be a guest, a foreigner, alien, cut off, unknown. We may be a stranger to other human beings, but we never should be a stranger to God. The text for this lesson is Psalm 39:1-13. This Psalm shows David’s progressive transition from being a stranger to his own strengths and feelings to his perception of how things really are. The points covered are as follows: (1) David’s Promise; (2) David’s Petition; (3) David’s Plea; and (4) David’s Prayer.
