QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS.....(SUN PM 11/10/96)

This lesson answers the following questions:

Question #1: In Luke 22:31, the LORD was talking to Simon, and He said, “Satan hath desired to have you.” And, then, in verse thirty-two, He said, “Simon, I have prayed for thee.” But, in verse thirty-four, He told Peter, “You are going to deny me.” Simon, then, denied the LORD, after the LORD had prayed for him. Explain, please.

Question #2: Psalm 23:2,3, says that the LORD leads us beside the still waters and that He leads us in the paths of righteousness. In the New Testament, after Jesus had been baptized, one Scripture says that the Spirit led Him into the wilderness. Another Scripture says that the spirit drove Him into the wilderness. What is the difference, if any?

Question #3: Psalm Twenty-three says, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil for thou art with me.” The Bible also says that if I am absent from the body, I am present with the LORD. I was told that if I died, I would have to walk through that valley of death before I was with the LORD? How does that work?

Question #4: My question is in Exodus17:12. I was wondering why Moses sat down on a stone? Is that not the eben stone?

Question #5:Speaking of a stone, I have a simple question in Luke 20:18. One way looks easier than the other. It looks easier to fall on the stone and be broken than to be ground to powder. What kind of powder is it speaking of?
