Sermon 1457 - Song of Solomon - 1st Message…..(Thu pm 7/18/96)

(Holland Convention): The first part of this Message deals with our stand on abortion. A brief summary of the four pictures of the Bridegroom in the Song of Solomon was given next. The main theme of the Convention was the Kiss of the Bridegroom’s Mouth. From His Kisses we get the armor of His Word on our Mouth. This means that when we hear His Word, we are to take what we hear to our prayer closet and get in the Spirit and let the LORD kiss us with the Truth we have received and, thus, make it personally ours.

If we let Him Kiss us with the Word in our soul, we can reason with the Truth. Our taste is not limited to our mouth, we have taste in our soul which is reasoning and a mouth in our spirit called prayer. The Bridegroom’s Kisses must penetrate all the way through our sense of taste in the soul, down to our spirit, our heart, and our will. It takes many Kisses from the Bridegroom for us to put on the whole armor of God. We must do more than hear the Word, we must feel the reality of the Truth — its thrill and the cleansing Power and Fire of it. When we have truly been kissed, we can speak the Truth. We will be armed with the Truth. The Truth will be joined to us, arming us to war against all opposition.
