YOU CAN GO ON FOR GOD IN ANY PLACE…..(SUN PM 6/30/96)

(Rome, Georgia) The purpose of this lesson is to show that it is possible for a person to live for God and be an overcoming believer, regardless of the outward circumstances. Daniel is our example. Although he was surrounded by a full stature of Lucifer’s darkness, heathenism, witchcraft, and idolatry in Babylon, he purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king’s meat and drink, which would have been offered, first, to the idols worshipped by the king. The Principle for us to learn is this: we must work, spiritually, first, by believing God and by taking a stand for the Truth. Then, God will work in our behalf and do what we cannot do. He will make it possible for us to go on for Him, even when we are surrounded by heathen darkness and idolatry, if we will not quit trying.
