Quick Overview

This lesson continues the Seal of Truth on “How Much Better” we have it than a lot of other things in God’s Creation. We have it better than the fowls of the air and the grass of the field. Our Heavenly Father is better to us than our natural father because He can give us Eternal Meat and Bread! The beginning of this message deals with our learning to go up and down the ladder of experiences with Jesus Christ.

Sermon 1446 - How Much Better - 2nd Message…..(Sun am 5/26/96)

This lesson continues the Seal of Truth on “How Much Better” we have it than a lot of other things in God’s Creation. We have it better than the fowls of the air and the grass of the field. Our Heavenly Father is better to us than our natural father because He can give us Eternal Meat and Bread! The beginning of this message deals with our learning to go up and down the ladder of experiences with Jesus Christ.

Jacob’s ladder was a picture of Jesus Christ as our Ladder. When we are on the ascending side of the ladder, we experience great heights of glory, but when we are on the descending side, we feel down because we are down, but when we are down, we must find God’s Rivers of Gratitude, and there we will find rest and peace. We must learn which way the LORD wants us to go on the ladder — up or down. The first side of the second triangle of the Seal of “How Much Better” is covered in this lesson, which deals with our appointed cross that we carry and the suffering we share with Christ in trying to be like Him. The Crucified Christ’s persecution came from without. The Resurrected Christ’s persecution comes from within — from within our old heart that gets angry over His Headship in our lives, for example. We are to rejoice in our sufferings for Christ’s Sake.
