Sermon 1416A - Perform: Philippians 1:6…..(Thu pm 4/6/95)

PERFORM: PHILIPPIANS 1:6…..(THU PM 4/6/95) (Tyler, Tx) This is a message about how God “performs” the good work that He has begun in our heart. The word performance means to bring to an end. The end is the beginning of a new dispensation. God told Hosea the Prophet to marry the harlot Gomer (whose name comes from the same Hebrew root word as performance) so that He could give Israel a picture of how her whoredoms looked in His Eyes. God brought the house of Israel to an end because of her idolatry, but He brought hope and cheer through the house of Judah, through whom Jesus Christ came. One day, the remnants of Israel and Judah will gather together to choose one Head, Jesus Christ.
