Sermon 1409A - Making Choices, Will and Do…..(Sun am 11/19/95)

MAKING CHOICES, WILL AND DO…..(SUN AM 11/19/95) We have to make choices in our spiritual education and in our moral development. God has to work the “will” and the “do” in us. Our entire human will is anti-Christ in nature. If we choose the New City and its Pleasurable Fire at the end, God chooses the Narrow Way that we have to walk to get there. If we chose the Broad Way, God chooses the end with its painful Hell Fire. The “In-Pasture” is on the spiritual education or exaltation side of the Scales; the “Out-Pasture” experience is where we deal with our midnight will, experientially, at the Cross of Jesus Christ. We have to give up wanting to be the boss of our own life. The two thieves and one malefactor railed on Jesus because they were not willing to admit that they deserved to be on the cross because of their own evil deeds.
